Frequently asked questions.
Whitegate bouncy castles prides itself on answering any questions you may have. Please find the answers to some of the most common questions we get asked here.
How long can I have the bouncy castle for?
The bouncy castle is yours for the day, dropping the castle off will be from 8am onwards. Collections are then made in the evening up to 6pm, arrangements can be made till 9pm at extra cost to allow for evening hire. We try to be as flexible as possible and work around times that are convenient with you.
Do I need to provide anything?
Only access to a power supply. Our driver will bring all necessary equipment with them. This will include the bouncy castle that you have hired, ground sheets, safety mats, extension leads and circuit breakers and the inflation fan. Our extension leads are up to 50m long, please tell us if the bouncy castle will be further away from an electricity supply than this. We can either provide a longer extension lead or a generator may be needed. There is an extra charge for a generator.
Can the bouncy castle be inflated indoors?
Yes, all of our bouncy castles can be inflated indoors. You will need to check the ceiling height of the venue and just let us know.
What if it rains?
We can’t control the weather. If it is absolutely pouring with rain on the day of your party, and you wish to cancel the booking, this is no problem. There will be no charge for cancellation. It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes the weather just isn’t very cooperative!
Can adults go on the bouncy castle?
At Present we only supply castles for childrens up to the age of 13yrs.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, Whitegate Bouncy Castles Of Winsford Has public liability insurance for £2m, This insurance covers the activity castles and our workmanship when erecting the bouncy castle. Our operators will issue you with a set of Health and Safety instructions and point out any possible danger areas such as washing lines etc. Once we have left the site the responsibility for the supervision of the activity castle and the safety of the users rests with the hirer.
Can I collect the bouncy castle and set it up myself?
No, sorry. Our public liability insurance would be invalidated. Our operative will deliver the bouncy castle and set it up for you. You don’t need to do anything other than have a great time at your party. We will then come and collect the bouncy castle at the time agreed with you.
I’ve been let down before by other bouncy castle companies, how are you different?
We take great pride in the top quality service we provide. Once your booking has been made, you can rest assured that your bouncy castle will arrive as requested. One of our operatives will telephone you on the morning of your party to confirm the booking and check the booking details with you. Should you need to change any part of your booking at any time, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What do I need to do on the day?
Our delivery driver will need clear access to the place you would like the chosen bouncer situated. The bouncer will be wheeled to the location on a trolley. Please tell us at the time of booking if you have any narrow access ways or If your car will be parked on the driveway to your house, please make sure you have left enough room for our driver to wheel the bouncy castle past. If our driver is in any doubt about the size of the gap, he may ask you to move your car rather than risk squeezing the trolley past the paintwork of your car!
Can we keep the bouncy castle overnight?
Yes, we do in some circumstances hire our bouncy castles overnight, but an extra charge will apply.
Can I switch the fan off if the party has finished?
Yes, just switch off the power and unplug the extension lead from your socket. Please be aware that the bouncer chosen will deflate very quickly, make sure that there is nobody on the bouncer when you switch it off. Please do not allow anybody to walk on the castle once it is deflated, this also causes damage to the bouncy castle.
How long does it take to set the bouncy castle up?
We usually allow 20-30 minutes to safely set up the chosen bouncy castle depending on size.
My garden is on a slope, can I still have a bouncy castle?
Please advise us at the time of booking if your garden is uneven, it may be necessary for one of our operatives to visit your garden prior to your party to tell you if it is suitable for bouncy castle hire.
We live outside your free delivery area, can I still have a bouncy castle?
We do deliver to a reasonable distance outside our free delivery area, but a delivery charge may apply.
